A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. Greensville County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.

Greensville County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes directions to the Sheriff, Greensville courts, the Virginia Department of State Police Criminal Justice Information Services Division, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Virginia Code § 19.2-389 separately controls dissemination from the state criminal-history repository. Visitor information is not turned into a consumer report, and this website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted to a partner is governed by that company's privacy terms, retention policy, and sharing practices. Those choices are not controlled by Greensville County Criminal History. Review the provider's policy before entering a query.
